What's in a Name?

Yes, for those precious few who are reading this blog............and who know me well..........the title of this blog is indeed a pun. Any real James Bond fan would recognize the joke. "Quantum of Solace" tee hee. If you look up the meaning of the word quantum though, the title does have some significance beyond the pun.
Anywho, the title makes me smile when I look at it. :^)

Why Wisconsin?

Marlene and I had a free companion ticket on Delta that was going to expire at the end of August. We wanted to go somewhere we had never been before...... someplace not as blasted hot as Utah..... so we chose Wisconsin. I know, like everyone we told before we went, you're asking "Why Wisconsin?" Well as it turns out, Wisconsin is a pretty cool state. (pun intended) We flew to Milwaukee (home of Marquette University) and immediately took a Milwaukee River/Harbor tour.

We paid a quick visit to the Pabst Mansion (beer buys a pretty cool house)

Took a boat ride through an awesome area called Wisconsin Dells

Getting My Feet Wet

Remember when you've been to a lake or the ocean and you get just close enough to the water to stick your feet in to see how cold the water is? Well, that's how I'm feeling right now as I get "my feet wet" in the Blogging Ocean. Everybody seems to be doing it these days so I finally decided to give it a try. I'm a little intimidated by all the very cool things I've seen on everyone else's blog sites, but I hope to get to the point of posting cool pictures, maybe some songs playing, who knows.......the sky is the limit. So, if you have any suggestions, tricks of the trade, or pitfalls to avoid, please feel free to comment. I can use all the help I can get. (Okay, the picture is a bit random, but you get the idea.)
